We’re dropping into the inbox today with a few updates.
We decided recently to go back to our roots a bit and have started a new monthly live series over on instagram. Our first ‘after work drinks’ as it’s snazzily been called was held on Thursday last week … end of the working week, end of month vibes. But also - most importantly - it coincided with an ‘end of career’ conversation.
We’re not being dramatic (well, maybe a little!), Thursday was
’s last day working in her day job and so it felt right to celebrate it somehow. After all, we talk a lot in the podcast about knowing when it’s time to leave your leadership role. And Carrie-Ann has done it in style (and with much more planning and consideration than when quit her career five years ago!).So, we talk about Carrie-Ann’s decision to leave and her plans for the future. We also talk about the podcast and how we are evolving it (we will be back, we’re on an extended summer break atm). We explain a bit about rebranding the podcast to reflect our headspace. And of course there is some general leadership chit-chat - including how we’re finding all the leadership jargon a bit cringe at the moment.
It felt refreshing to go live and simply chat about what’s on our minds right now and not take ourselves or the podcast too seriously.
